Professional Experience

 

Twenty-seven years of experience in corporate world in Information Technology.  Lead or co-lead teams, both technical and functional, thereby implementing enterprise wide application and infrastructure projects.  Responsible for schedule, budget, risk assessment, quality, procurement, status and metrics.  Provide communication to both team members and upper management.  Ensure system documentation is properly created and/or maintained.  Oversee setup and execution of training classes for affected end users.  Adhere to and comply with internal IT company software and hardware standards and corporate policies, procedures and guidelines.  Work closely with Internal Audit personnel and external parties such as Deloitte & Touche, EDS, DCAA, and Ernst & Young.  Possess extensive experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) general computing control processes and principles.

 

Coaching Experience

 

Over twenty years of experience in working with youth and young adults with various organizations in different positions such as computer tutor while in college, basketball coordinator for youth basketball league, Delta Academy – Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. mentoring program, engineering career mentoring for elementary and middle school students, and various career day events for elementary and middle school students.  Basketball experience includes Hill Junior College 1980-1981, Texas State Technical Institute (now College) 1981-1982, and Student Coach 1982-1983.
