Congratulations to all of our players from the Summer 2004 Pro-Am Team. See their current statistics:

Jarrett Howell (University of Texas at Arlington - currently tied for 4th place) - 12.9 ppg., 4 rpg., 2.9 apg., 50.3% - field goal percentage, 57.1% - 3 point field goal percentage (currently second in nation, first in conference), 84% - free throw percentage.

James Williams (Long Island University - currently in 5th place) - 16.0 ppg., 3.6 rpg., 3.6 apg., 37.7% - field goal percentage, 33% - 3 point field goal percentage, 80.2% free throw percentage.

Kellen Allen (Long Island University - currently in 5th place) - 7.3 ppg., 3.5 rpg., .7 apg., 40.3% - field goal percentage, 54.5% - free throw percentage.

Will Gant (Howard University - currently in 10th place) - 12.2 ppg., 3.8 rpg., 1.6 apg., 40.1% - field goal percentage, 38.5% - 3 point field goal percentage, 86.4% - free throw percentage.

Kenny Brown (Stanford University - currently tied for 3rd place) - Redshirt Year

Terrell Broussard (Texas State University - currently tied for 4th place) - Injured

Larrenton Carter (Jacksonville Junior College) - Standings and statistics unavailable.

Jason Hervey (North Carolina Central University - currently 6th in Western Division) - 10.2 ppg., 5.8 rpg., 1.0 apg., 2.0 bpg., 61% field goal percentage, 52.7% free throw percentage.

Congratulations to Keith Howell, II and Jarrett Howell! UTA presented championship rings to the 2003-2004 regular season conference championship team. Keith and Jarrett became the starting backcourt that lead the team to nine consecutive wins. The team advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament. Keith and Jarrett indicated that they were able to lead this team because of everything they learned from the coaches in G2S. Thanks for representing our organization. Keep flying high!!!

Congratulations to Kellen Allen at Long Island University! Kellen was selected Rookie of the Week. In his first collegiate game, he had 10 points on 5 of 10 shooting, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 steal, and drew 5 charges in just 21 minutes of action. Keep flying high!!!

Congratulations to former G2S players on recent signing of National Letters of Intent:

Clarence Masters - Texas Christian University. (Senior - Cedar Hill High School, Cedar Hill, TX). He played in our program for two summers. He traveled to the Big Time Tournament, Las Vegas, NV with the Arlington Magic following his 8th Grade year. He demonstrated he had a bright future at an early age, and we are proud to say he started his high school summer basketball playing with our program. We expect him to continue to achieve great things. Clarence, keep flying high!!!

Anthony Thomas - Boise State University. (Senior - Mansfield Summit High School, Mansfield, TX). He played in our program for two summers. He was a member of our top team after his Freshman year. By the end of the summer, he earned a spot in the starting lineup. He demonstrated that he can compete with anyone in the country. We are proud to have had the opportunity to enhance his abilities. We expect him to continue to deliver at the next level. Anthony, keep flying high!!!

Joshua Worthy - North Carolina Central University (Senior - Lewisville High School, Lewisville, TX). He is the son of Danny Worthy, former coach in our program. He played in our program two summers. He has steadily improved his basketball game over the years and has earned a starting spot on his high school team. His best basketball is ahead. He is the nephew of James Worthy, former LA Laker and North Carolina Tarheel great. Joshua, keep flying high!!!

Congratulations to Kellen Allen, Freshman at Long Island University!! He won the "Strongest Player - Pound for Pound Award" in maxing out on the bench press at 325 pounds during preseason basketball workouts.

Talvin Hester, former assistant coach with G2S Wildcats, has accepted the position of assistant basketball coach at Texas College, Tyler, TX. He was previously an assistant coach at Texas Wesleyan University, Fort Worth, TX.

Jason Hervey, JR. Center, was named captain of the North Carolina Central University Eagles Basketball Team. The school is a member of the CIAA Conference in NCAA Division II.

Keith D. Howell, II graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Marketing. He is working for Northrop Grumman and will be modeling in his spare time.

Magic Pro-Am finished second in their division during league play in MLK Pro-Am League in Fort Worth, TX. The team lost in the quarterfinals of the league championship tournament.

7/18/04

Magic Pro-Am won the FedEX Pro-AM Tournament in Lancaster, TX. The team defeated teams from all over the country to win this event. Individual awards were received by the following players: Kellen Allen, Tournament MVP; Jarrett Howell, All Tournament Team; Keith Howell, All Tournament Team; and James Williams, All Tournament Team.

3/10/04

The University of Texas at Arlington advanced to the semifinals of the conference tournament. The team lost to Stephen F. Austin.

3/3/04

The University of Texas at Arlington won the first conference championship in school history. Keith and Jarrett Howell were the starting backcourt.

2/28/04

Jason Hervey, SO. Center, helped lead the North Carolina Central University Eagles Basketball Team to the championship game of the CIAA Tournament. The team lost to Virginia Union in the championship game. Hervey was named Game MVP in upset win over Bowie State University, 2003 CIAA Champion, in tournament quarterfinals. Hervey had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 6 blocked shots, and 4 assists in the game.
